TIAN was born in Heilongjiang, China on a cold winter and grew up on the sunny island of Singapore.
She is simultaneously drawn by the technologies of videos/lights/Virtual Reality and the histories of pre-modern Chinese art.
In 2015, Tian was trained in Art and Technology at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). Following two years of academic hiatus, she went on to pursue a MA in the History of Art and Archaeology of East Asia at SOAS, University of London.
Tian wishes to share her love for Chinese art-historical materials, and aspires to do so via innovative & refreshing approaches that connects with audience of her generation. Her current research interest includes investigating the conception of space in imperial Chinese narrative handscrolls and deriving frameworks for their documentation and display.
